LEADERSHIP CHARACTER SERVICE
UYMC oBJECTIVES & gOALS
OBJECTIVES
1. To develop the rudimentary properties of Leadership, strong ethical Character, and the application of community Service using the United States Marine Corps leadership traits and principals.
2. To create self-reliant individuals who can adapt and overcome the hardships of adversity.
3. To instill the necessity of physical fitness through daily and weekly exercise as part of the cadets training regime.
4. To unify young people of diverse cultures, ethnic and social backgrounds to teach them to live, work and achieve as harmonious, confident and competent citizens of the United States of America.
5. To promote growth in the moral, social, physical and financial welfare by implementing positive mental attitudes, goal setting initiatives and instruction on financial literacy for our cadets.
6. To assist NYS public, private and charted schools by providing extra-curricular support with reading, writing and arithmetic for our cadets.
7. To decrease gang influence, violence, and disruptive behavior amongst the youth in our communities.
8. To place the responsibility of community service upon all staff, cadets and volunteers by mandating their participation in several events in our communities.
9. To apply a military approach that induces positive change in all aspects of growth.
10. To foster solidarity between our cadets and members of the community who work with and/or support our program.
ORGANIZATION GOALS
