Please find below the eligibility Criteria and enrollment process for Perspective Cadets and Perspective Adult Leaders interested in enolling into the Corps of Cadets or Adult NCO/Officer Corps.

PERSPECTIVE CADET APPLICANTS:

United Youth Marine Cadets offers equal opportunity to all youth regardless of race, color, creed, religion, gender or financial status. UYMC membership criteria, in part, require that all prospective Cadets meet the following minimum standards:

1. Must be 9 years old and are currently in the 4th grade.

2. Must have their parents/legal guardian’s permission.

3. Must fill out all appropriate membership documentation.

PERSPECTIVE ADULT APPLICANTS:

An adult is anyone who has reached their 18th birthday or older. The United Youth Marines leadership team is comprised of non-paid professionals. UYMC has the right to uphold and maintain a highly selective adult members program. Our organization is based on addressing the issues of youth and therefore, does not guarantee adult membership. All UYMC staff members are required to meet certain minimum qualifications which are:

1. Citizen or legal resident of the United States.

2. Resident of your State.

3. Undergo a background investigation.

4. Mentally and physically qualified to carry out all assigned duties.

5. Possess a high school diploma / GED for senior SNCO’s

6. Be willing to be trained to UYMC standards that exemplifies leadership.
