About UYMC

 

• United Youth Marine Cadets is extracurricular youth enrichment Not-For-Profit Corporation. We currently serve New York City and Westchester County’s youth ages 9-20.

   

• Our program focuses on five key components that will ultimately increase the likelihood of success in the future of our youth:

 

• Character Development

• Community Service

• Academic Services

• Physical Fitness.

• Recreational Activities

 

• We are not recruiters for any branch of the United States armed forces, nor do we tell our youth to go directly into the military after high school.

  • Become High School graduates

  • Carry themselves with honor and dignity

  • Strive to be extraordinary achievers

  • Set goals and reach them

  • Be audacious leaders who learn from their mistakes

  • Ultimately We Dare them to be positively Different!

     

• In our program, we do expect for our youth to:

  • School grades

  • Willingness to help and give without the expectation of receiving

  • Participation in healthy eating initiatives

  • Maintaining a healthy lifestyle through consistent physical fitness

  • Appropriate presentation of appearance and problem solving.

    • Discipline is the bridge from where you are, to where you want to be. Our disciplined learning process allows our youth to understand why and how to utilize discipline in their lives.

  • We have a balance-oriented objectives and diverse programing.

    • We focus on the holistic development of our youth, not just keeping them out of trouble.We focus on engaging multiple areas of our youth’s thinking, actions, and morals.

  • Unique mentors who focus on effective problem solving strategies.

    • There are multiple solutions to addressing the issues of our youth. Our organization informs and enables our youth to understand cause & effect.We focus on preventative solutions before bigger problems occur.
