UYMC MARTIAL ARTS PROGRAM

The Leaders In Martials Arts (LIMA) program is designed to teach and expose cadets to the study of Martial Arts. Aside from teaching self-discipline we also teach discipline through Martial Arts exposing them to not just the ancient arts but to the culture as well.

The program is taught by a certified Martial Arts Instructor every week to cadet leaders. This program leads cadets and cadet leaders through a rigorous training class and belt system that must be attained and at the end students will have the opportunity to earn their black belt in martial arts. UYMC provides the FREE program to cadet participants who have graduated from Recruit Trainging Academy (RTA).

MARTIAL ARTS TOUCH SYSTEM

When RECRUITS graduate from Recruit Training Academy (RTA), they are taught "MATS" (Martial Artrs Touch System) It is important that all our children learn how to protect themselves. There six phases of the Touch System they would have to go through. From a NO-BELT, all the way to a BLACK-BELT status. Throughout training, they will endure different levels of attacks, from grappling, muggings, trap in corners, to straight up hand to hand combat. Certificates and ranking belts will also be given to Cadets as they grow into the "TOUCH SYSTEM".  The Martial Arts program will iseek to instill Discipline, Respect, Honor, and Code back into their lives of our Cadets.
